"Moustache" or "Checkered Shirt"?

Which one do you choose?

I'm calling all Jakartans, because September 20th is coming closer and closer! Do you know what's about to happen on that day? Please don't say The Wanted Live concert... It is true, but that's not my point.

Yep, the 2012 Jakarta gubernatorial election!

The first round resulted with two top-voted candidates, Joko Widodo (also known as Jokowi) and Fauzi Bowo (aka Foke) to advance to the runoff as neither received 50%+1 votes in the first round. Foke is an incumbent candidate, meanwhile Jokowi is currently serving as the mayor of Solo.

Anyway, before we move on, moustache is Foke's campaign icon, whereas red and blue checkered shirt is Jokowi's. Just so you know.

I'm not going to talk politics here, because it's not my forte.

However, as a Jakartan (although I'm still underage so I still can not cast my vote this year), I do care about the election, because this can change the whole future of Jakarta, either going better or worse. A wrong choice will eventually lead to a bad consequence, and what's worse is that Jakarta will live the consequence for another five years, every single day.

So, dear everyone who's on the electoral roll, PLEASE do use your vote wisely. No matter who you choose, use your right to vote for the sake of Jakarta's future. One vote can make a huge different in the election, and in the next five years.

Since I can't vote for any candidate (if I could, I would definitely vote for Jokowi for some reasons), I vote for PEACE. :)
