Lebenshlakaschitzseshatz

Recognize that word?

Well, if you have watched How I Met Your Mother S08E01 (Farhampton), then it must be familiar to you (or maybe not, because Klaus said it in a very German way, plus the weird accent and how fast he said it). I'm pretty sure that there is no such word, but in the episode, according to Klaus, it is a German word which the closest translation would be "life long treasure of destiny".

Right now, we are all having this journey called "life". This journey is a very short one, because no one knows when, where, or how it will end. No one can predict their future. However, along the way in this short journey become more entertaining, we come across so many things that give colors in our lives, and end up to be a big part of our life. They might be our Lebenshlakaschitzseshatz.

Sometimes, we are always wondering when will we find our Lebenshlakaschitzseshatz, when we don't realize that we actually have found them. We often sit down by ourself beside the window in the pouring rain, and dream about different sappy movie-like scenarios of how "The One" will come across in our life, when we don't realize that "The One" is actually here, and "The One" have crossed path with your life in an unpredictable way. We often forget to cherish what we already have. Sometimes, we are way too focused to the front, about what we want to have, when we forget to look around and be grateful for what we already have.

Your Lebenshlakaschitzseshatz can be anyone: your parents, best friends, or your loved ones. Many people I know (myself included) regret for not savoring the precious moments with their Lebenshlakaschitzseshatz before realizing that they're already gone. Regrets come later, therefore we have to treasure what we already have now before it's too late :)
